We wanted to let you know that Suppose U Drive Truck Rental & Lease is now the first truck rental & leasing company in the United States that is taking the necessary steps to help protect our environment by selling Biodiesel fuel at both of our full service locations.  We will be encouraging our customers to fill up with Bio Diesel at our locations in every one of our rental & lease trucks along with our contract maintenance customers.  This will lead to having positive effects on our environment, economy, and truck maintenance.  

                                                                                                                 

It’s Good for the Environment

By using Biodiesel we are doing our part to preserve the environment and reduce the amount of contaminants that are released into the air.  Biodiesel burns much cleaner than traditional fuel, which reduces harmful greenhouse gasses such as carbon monoxide, CO2, & other hydrocarbon emissions.  There is also a reduction in the release of Diesel Particulate Matter which contains chemicals such as benzene, arsenic, & formaldehyde which can be very dangerous when entering your lungs.  Since biodiesel comes from plants such as corn that are grown on farms these plants will consume some of these remaining carbon emissions away.

 

It makes our Economy Stronger

Biodiesel provides tremendous support for the American Farmer because it is considered ”Home Grown Fuel”.  Not only can they harvest land that is suitable for edible feedstock plants, but they can also use areas that are not suitable for edible feedstock plants, from which they can grow alternative feedstock crops.  It has been shown that some alternative feedstock crops can produce twice the oil yield of edible feedstock crops.  This leads to increased productivity and increased revenues for American Agriculture Industry and associated services which will help drive the economy.

 

It helps Reduce Maintenance Costs

As the newly mandated Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel is being put into all diesel engines there has been a reduction in engine lubricity.  To help meet lubricity requirements the use of Biodiesel will help compensate for that requirement which will relieve certain component stresses that contribute to normal engine failure.  The reduced maintenance and engine wear benefits will equal or outweigh the slightly higher cost of the biodiesel blend.  In addition, the government has offered tax credits to all biodiesel carriers so that they can pass on those savings to the end user, our customers. 

 

We have also become “Green Shop” certified through NationaLease which means we meet or exceed certain environmental & safety regulations through our shop practices.
